SPARSE VARIANCE FOR PRIMES IN ARITHMETIC PROGRESSION

   Abstract

An analogue of the Montgomery–Hooley asymptotic formula is established for the variance of the number of primes in arithmetic progressions, in which the moduli are restricted to the values of a polynomial.
