ADDENDUM TO SREMARKS ON AHLFORS' DISTORTION THEOREM

Since this paper was printed I have found out that the sharp bound in Theorem A, one of the main results, was first obtained by 0. Teichmuller in his paper: ‘Untersuchungen über konforme und quasikonforme Abbildungen’, Deutsche Mathematik (1938), 621–7.
